This part-time role will own and manage all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions including, but not limited to, client sales orders and invoicing, vendor bill pay, credit card transactions, and bank. This role will assist in daily bookkeeping activities and during month-end close. This is a 20 hour per week hourly role, paid our at $28 per hour.
How You’ll Do It
- Use Netsuite and Excel to perform A/P, A/R, bookkeeping and Month End Close related functions
- Learn internal processes to carry out A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and transactional functions
- Download bank and credit card activity to NS on a regular basis, and do monthly reconciliations
- Bi-weekly payable bills processing: enter bills into NS, compile an approval report, and clear bills in NS after payment has been made
- Monthly, weekly, and timely client invoicing through NS: Create sales orders as needed, and send client invoices monthly, and one-off invoicing weekly; receive client payments through various sources and book in NS
- Run a monthly A/R Aging Report and follow-up with clients on outstanding balances
- Update and manage Brex credit card transactions in NS, and ensure appropriate categorization of account, department, and class
- Chase Bank deposits
- Obtain W-9s from vendors
- Assist in other ad-hoc projects as needed
- Build on existing processes, and continue to improve them as necessary
Key Competencies
- Highly Organized: Well organized with the ability to plan work, cope with conflicting work pressures, establish appropriate priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Detail-Oriented: Possesses a high attention to detail. Follows procedures to ensure accuracy in the entry and reporting of data.
- Self-Motivated: Able to manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple and often changing priorities.
- Constantly Curious: A continuous desire to find a better way to accomplish a task
Desired Skills + Experience
- 1-3 years of related experience in bookkeeping, A/P, and A/R required
- Proficiency in Excel required
- Experience with reconciliation required
- Netsuite experience a plus
- Familiarity with Brex a plus
- Experience in subsidiary & intercompany transactions through due to/due from accounts a plus
