Use your skills to support our puppy raisers.
At Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB), we raise and train puppies to become guide dogs for the blind and visually impaired. As part of that journey, our puppies spend time growing up in volunteer homes until they are old enough for training. That’s where you come in. As a Puppy Raising Support Specialist, you’ll assist puppy raising volunteers as they navigate the software, platforms and technology needed to successfully raise GDB puppies.
What you’ll do:
Develop, coordinate, and implement training and educational resources to help volunteers across multiple states successfully utilize a Salesforce community platform, Litmos educational environment and other technologies (including but not limited to video tutorials and standard operating procedures)
Host online training sessions, office hours or other methods to provide volunteers with resources and instruction
Engage with volunteers via telephone, email, online chat, video or in person to ensure proper use of the systems
Track monthly reports completed by puppy raising volunteers to provide internal updates and encourage compliance
Coordinate and ensure puppy vaccine compliance and accurately store records
Contribute to the recruitment, recognition and retention of puppy raising volunteers by providing exceptional customer service and follow-up

The qualifications you’ll need:
Experience in administrative work, teaching and developing/producing educational and technical materials
Excellent customer service, communication, and active listening skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Salesforce (or a similar software), database application and educational software highly desirable
Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Pay Range:
$28 – $40/hour, depending on location
