Position Summary:
Trupanion is looking for a motivated and success-driven sales professional to join the Mid-Atlantic & PacWest inside sales and experience team! This person will play a fundamental role in driving growth and engagement with hospitals that are using Trupanion to enhance the experience of our mutual clients and that have a desire to further grow their insured client base. Success in this position requires proactive and reactive approaches in supporting and motivating veterinary teams to influence growth in client awareness and increase client experience through our vet portal.

While our Territory Partners, in the field, develop new relationships with hospitals, this role will provide a critical extension to their efforts, ensuring and maintaining well-rounded support, engagement, and follow-through with these bought-in hospitals. This allows the Territory Partner to continue to bring on new hospital relationships, while continuing to grow and provide top-tier support to already on-boarded hospitals with their experience specialist counterpart.

An Experience Specialist is only assigned to hospitals that have been kicked off to leverage Trupanion resources within a specific region(s) to reinforce and enhance that initial onboarding and expand to consistent growth. The function of sales and support provided by this role is done exclusively over the phone and consists primarily of proactive outbound touchpoints to hospitals and inbound support calls from hospitals.

Additionally, this role will be tasked with some outbound sales calls to hospital clients on an active insurance offer to aid in conversion leading to a continued policy with Trupanion.

This role is a call center type role, requiring active availability in a call queue. This role is remote/work from home eligible.

Key Responsibilities Include:
As a Partner Experience Specialist, you are responsible for the growth, experience, and support of your assigned hospitals, which include:

Engaging hospitals to educate more of their clients on the value of medical insurance for their pet, measured through the issuance of Exam Day Offers through our vet portal
Training and coaching hospital staff on how to have impactful conversations with their clients on cost of care and the value of direct payment
Educating Pet Parents on the value of continued coverage for the life of their pet, measured by Exam Day Offer enrollments that go beyond the first 30 days
Maintain and grow enrollments within assigned hospitals through:
Connecting with key roles within the veterinary hospital on a regular cadence to discuss individual hospital performance, the over-all value of that performance to the hospital, and provide support for any challenges and/or concerns
Building and maintaining long-term relationships
Collaborating with Territory Partners to achieve growth within these hospitals.
Providing refresher and new-hire training for supported hospitals
Calling hospitals on a regular cadence to increase usage vet portal for mutual claiming clients
Promoting the value of the Exam Day Offer to hospital staff, and providing reporting on successes and opportunities missed
Calling Pet Parents from assigned hospitals on an active offer to convert to continued coverage for their pet
Full support of your hospitals through:
Handling inbound support phone calls, emails, and chat.
Researching and resolving complex concerns, including questions on policy, coverage, and claims.
Supporting hospitals with usage and basic troubleshooting of our hospital integration with vet portal.
Other skills that you will need to be successful in this role:
Ability to partner and collaborate well in cross-functional teams
In depth understanding of the full lifecycle of a sale
Strong understanding the Trupanion product, and its value to both pet parents and veterinary hospitals
General knowledge of roles within a veterinary hospital and how veterinary hospitals operate
Strong ability to influence a variety of people without direct authority
Independent motivation to grow assigned book of accounts
Experience:
2+ years experience building and maintaining long term client relationships.
2+ years experience with direct sales to drive new business.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including fluency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint with preferred exposure to CRM Platforms.

Compensation:
The pay for this position is $22.00 an hour, on a full-time schedule. Along with the hourly pay, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual or team performance.
Trupanion may also provide Restricted Stock Units, which vest over 4 years
