This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm Central Standard Time. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional weekends including mandatory overtime during peak time in January – April (no PTO allowed during this time)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing appeal status updates to patients by providing weekly and bi-weekly updates.
- Completing Denial Notification Task
- Resolve patient inquiries timely
- Follow up with insurance on appeal statuses
- Consult with patient to obtain required forms for appeal submission

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer service issues in the medical field
- 1+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry
- 1+ years of experience working with medical terminology
- Ability to work any of our 8-hour shifts between 7am-7pm Central Standard Time Monday-Friday
- Ability to work mandatory overtime during peak time in January – April (no PTO allowed during this time)
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $16.00 – $26.88. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $16.83 – $29.66. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
