Goldbelt, Incorporated is an urban, Alaska Native, for-profit corporation with locations in Juneau, Alaska and Herndon, VA. Its primary purpose is to manage assets and to conduct business for the benefit of its shareholders, approximately 3,600 people, almost all of Alaska Native heritage. Goldbelt, Inc. is in search of Human Resource Coordinator.
Summary:
The Human Resource Coordinator provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource processes for all lines of business. This role provides administrative support including data entry, record keeping, new employee onboarding, and employee verifications.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for onboarding all new hires to include: assigning new hire paperwork, collecting and submitting for data processing, following up with new hires on questions or issues
- Responsible for new hire orientation to include: scheduling employees, notifying project managers and completing post orientation distribution of materials and survey via Learning Management System
- Backup for HR Data entry of new hires, terminations, status changes, promotions, update personal, benefit, and work-related changes
- Monitor processes for maintaining new employee paperwork, human resource records and databases
- Completes, verifies, and submits unemployment insurance claims, employment verifications and government background checks
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
- Maintains electronic employee files. Files documents into appropriate employee files
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested
- Prepares new-employee files
- Processes mail and faxes and routes appropriately and timely

- Ability to provide outstanding customer service both internally and externally
- Must possess excellent professional telephone skills
- Computer literacy required including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Taleo Talent Center preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi task; work under stress; ability to work with frequent interruptions
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions, procedures, and guidelines with the capability to apply them to various situations
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, tact, good judgment, maturity, timeliness, accuracy and with limited supervision
- Must be able to work well under pressure while being detail oriented

Minimum Qualifications:
- AA Degree in business, psychology, human resource management, or related field
- One (1) year of human resources or general office administrative experience
- OR a combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the position
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
- Experience working with an ANC
- Experience with Taleo
- Expereince with ADP Workforce.
