The Client Analyst is responsible for delivering a broad spectrum of tasks, including:
Client Delivery
- Collaborates with the client manager and end client to resolve requests or escalated employee issues
- Conducts research on employee accounts thoroughly to provide a level one claim determination using all tools and resources available
- Assembles level two appeal packets summarizing the employee s arguments and account status, calls, and web activity to provide the appeal committee a full representation of the events leading up to the claim and appeal
- Presents claim and appeal findings to client contacts when necessary and collaborates with Alight colleagues, third-party providers, and client contacts to ensure seamless process delivery for our clients employees
Project & Administration Delivery
- Manages own work and communicates status to team.
- Understand how to utilize the data on our proprietary system to perform root cause analysis and trending for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Develop reports utilizing various data extraction tools to meet client plan rules and/or resolve issues.
- Demonstrates quality assurance with detailed document analysis and review.
- Define plan rules with client manager for new client facing project work.
- Provides creative solutions to continuously improve process, improve customer experience, and optimize client delivery.
- Opportunity to oversee and coach others with regards to a specific project and/or process.
- Lead projects utilizing standard project management disciplines.
- Understands the project life cycle and deployment governance.

Examples of day-to-day activities could include the following:
- Working through and managing queue of claims and appeals prioritizing ERISA deadlines and client expectations
- Working on escalations from our clients that are urgent in nature.
- Participating in quality assurance review efforts to ensure our determination letters and appeal packets are accurate.
- Partnering with our client managers on client delivery, coordination with the customer care and client delivery teams, and on special projects.
- Completing participant workflows, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation.
- Helping teammates close out work activities if they have a larger workload.
- Interact with customer care call center or client delivery team to resolve participant issues or escalations.
Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor s degree (in a business context preferred) or equivalent work experience required.
- Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
- Frequent computer use at workstation up to 2 hours at a time or for extended periods of time.
- Ability to learn and apply new skills.
- Confident working with plan documents, participant accounts, and employee benefits concepts
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of multiple web-based tools including MS Office Excel/Word, CSPro, TBA system,
- Ability to navigate and learn tools within Alight’s proprietary systems
- Ability to problem solve and determine root cause
