This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00am – 8:00pm CST). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 12 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm CST Monday-Friday (training hours could change based on trainer availability). Training will be conducted virtually from your home.
The primary purpose of this position is:
- Onboarding: Ensuring members understand their personal plan of care and are connected to their provider
- Outreach: Helping members access the care they need, based on quality goals through identifying gaps in care, access, and services.
- Member Support: Providing high quality member support
Those in this role will utilize scripting, call anatomy, and critical thinking skills to preform outreaches to members, regarding their plan. Membership support, will include assisting members with their benefits, supporting their overall health & wellness, assisting members in accessing community services to meet basic needs, and connecting members to clinical or psychosocial resources should they need further assistance.

Primary Responsibilities:
(While following all PHI and HIPAA guidelines)
- Following a call anatomy, connect with a member to establish a trusting relationship and, utilizing job aids and critical thinking skills, assess the barriers that are prohibiting the member from seeking the proper care, and answer members question about benefits.
- Help guide and educate customers about the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven health care topics to select the best benefit plan options, maximize the value of their health plan benefits and choose a quality care provider.
- Provide social and clinical resources.
- Complete a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) following the UnitedHealthcare national standard HRA.
- Respond to and resolve, on the first call, customer service inquires and issues by identifying the topic and type of assistance the caller needs such as benefits, id cards, primary care physician updates, eligibility and claims, financial spending accounts and correspondence
- Document member responses and call outcomes in the appropriate system.
- Flex In-bound Employer Group Call Support based on business needs.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of combined education, work and/or volunteer experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health Care/Insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
- Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion and behavior change (working with vulnerable populations)
- Sales or account management experience
- Customer Service Experience
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $15.00 – $25.19. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $15.77 – $27.79.
