🧾 About the Role
CareXM is hiring experienced, empathetic Registered Nurses (RNs) to deliver after-hours telephone triage care for hospice and home health patients. This is a fully remote, part-time role with flexible scheduling, paid training, and the opportunity to transition into full-time after licensure across required states. You’ll be the calm, capable voice guiding patients and caregivers through critical moments—with care, clarity, and confidence.
✅ Position Highlights
• Pay: $26/hour
• Type: Part-Time (Full-Time optional after license completion)
• Training: 4 weeks, M/W/F evenings + rotating assignments
• Schedule: Choose your own shifts with required 20 hrs/week (10 on weekends)
• Location: Remote (excluding AK, CA, CT, DC, HI, IL, MA, MI, MN, NV, NY, OR, PA, RI, WA, US territories)
• Start: After licensure check and equipment approval
📋 What You’ll Own
• Deliver compassionate RN triage care via phone for hospice/home health patients
• Communicate with empathy in high-stress or emotionally sensitive calls
• Assess patient symptoms and provide appropriate nursing instructions
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for coordinated care plans
• Accurately document every interaction within the EHR
• Maintain clinical judgment while working independently
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Active RN license in a compact state
• Minimum 4 years clinical experience (preferred: hospice, med-surg, ER, palliative, home health)
• At least 400 clinical work hours in the last 2 years
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working remotely
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making under pressure
• Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
• Available to work minimum 20 hours/week, including 10 weekend hours
• Must pass background check and drug screening
💻 Remote Requirements
• Personal computer that meets tech specs:
- Windows 11 or macOS 14+
- CPU: 2.5 GHz, RAM: 6GB
- Webcam + reliable broadband (no hotspots/satellite)
• Must meet California RN prerequisites for endorsement (see CA RN status guide)
• Workstation must pass IT compatibility review before start
