Join Med-Metrix as a remote Outpatient Medical Coder and bring your coding expertise to a team that values precision, compliance, and impact. 📋 What You’ll Own
• Review documentation for coding accuracy and compliance
• Assign and sequence CPT and ICD-10 codes for outpatient procedures
• Work audit queues and coordinate with billing staff
• Ensure compliance with Medicare and coding guidelines
• Identify and resolve documentation or payment-related coding issues
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and data confidentiality
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• CPC (AAPC) or CCS (AHIMA) certification
• Graduate of any medical-allied course
• 2+ years of outpatient coding experience (Ancillary, ED, Profee, SDS, etc.)
• Familiarity with Medicare regulations and payer guidelines
• Proficiency with job-related software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Bonus: Surgical coding experience
• Sharp problem-solving, attention to detail, and timely decision-making
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professionalism and integrity under pressure
