About the Role
Verisma is hiring a Release of Information Specialist II (ROIS II) to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll help safeguard patient confidentiality while ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical record requests. Whether remote, onsite, or at a Verisma facility, you’ll be the trusted bridge between healthcare providers, patients, and authorized requestors.

• Pay Range: $17–$20/hr (based on experience)
• Remote: Work-from-home eligible
• Reports to: Manager of Operations, Release of Information
• Software: Verisma proprietary platform
• Schedule: Full-time, weekdays
📋 What You’ll Do
• Process medical record requests promptly using Verisma software
• Review, interpret, and validate authorizations for release of health information
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation and proper record organization
• Deliver professional, friendly support via phone, email, or in-person
• Assist with resolving release-related issues or discrepancies
• Attend ongoing training sessions to stay current with regulations
• Contribute to departmental operations and support Verisma’s core values
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in medical records or healthcare documentation
• Familiarity with HIPAA and ROI practices (preferred)
• RHIT certification a plus
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, scanners, desktop applications
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred
