🧾 About the Role
Charlie Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Care Coach to support clients through their healing journeys. As a Care Coach, you’ll connect with young adults and adolescents navigating complex mental health and substance use challenges. Through peer-based engagement, skill-building interventions, and safety planning, you’ll help ensure every client feels seen, supported, and empowered throughout their treatment.

• Pay: $20.00/hour
• Employment Type: W2, Part-Time
• Weekly Hours: 15–28 hours/week (minimum 12 hours required)
• Remote: Yes (U.S. only)
• Preferred Availability:
• Mon–Thurs: 3–9 PM MT or 10–2 PM MT
• Rotating Fri/Sat: 9 AM–3 PM MT
• Split shifts and weekend flexibility preferred
📋 What You’ll Own
• Conduct 1:1 peer support sessions with clients via secure platforms
• Provide skill-based interventions during moments of emotional escalation
• Complete risk screenings and safety plans; escalate to crisis clinicians when needed
• Act as a constant, motivational presence throughout a client’s care journey
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Bachelor’s degree (or senior standing) in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or similar field or Certified Peer Specialist credential
• 2nd-year Master’s students highly encouraged to apply
• Direct or lived experience with mental health or substance use disorders
• 1+ years of relevant experience in peer support, mentorship, or mental health settings (IOP, PHP, RTC, inpatient) preferred
• Excellent interpersonal communication and empathy-driven presence
• Familiarity with professional standards regarding client confidentiality and treatment
• Tech savvy with tools like Zoom, Google Suite, Slack, EMR, and spreadsheets
• Reliable Wi-Fi and a confidential space to work from home
• For Virginia applicants: PRS or FSP certification/registration required
