Auto-Owners Insurance is looking for an experienced Inside Physical Damage Appraiser to join our claims team. This role goes beyond estimating damage—it’s about restoring peace of mind. You’ll inspect, assess, and negotiate vehicle repairs while working closely with our insured clients, agents, and repair facilities. 📋 What You’ll Own
• Conduct auto damage inspections and cost analysis
• Communicate with claimants, agents, and repair shops
• Use industry standards to ensure safe and proper repairs
• Evaluate settlement practicality—repair or total loss
• Negotiate cost agreements with repair facilities
• Provide detailed reports and updates on claim status
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, or trials as needed
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience
• 3+ years of physical damage appraisal experience
• CCC software familiarity preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to resolve complex issues under pressure
• Highly organized with multitasking capabilities
