• Pay Range: $15.96 – $20.31/hour
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Remote: Yes – U.S.-based
• Schedule: 8 AM – 5 PM CT, Monday–Friday
📋 What You’ll Own
• Contact patients, insurance companies, and facilities to initiate collections
• Manage a personal portfolio of accounts to ensure timely payments
• Review, correct, and submit invoices and claims
• Resolve denied or disputed balances and determine escalation needs
• Collaborate with internal billing teams and external insurance contacts
• Generate status reports and contribute to special projects
• Uphold HIPAA and company compliance protocols
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare billing and collections
• Knowledge of coding, insurance claims, and the Fair Debt Collection Act
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Cool under pressure, especially during public-facing interactions
• Detail-oriented and able to manage a variety of accounts with accuracy
• Proficient in navigating billing systems and collection tools
