📋 What You’ll Own
• Complete and process FMLA/Short Term Disability paperwork
• Communicate with patients and physicians about documentation needs
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of medical records
• Process PHI requests and maintain disclosure logs
• Track and follow up on patient forms and turnaround deadlines (5–7 days)
• Handle incoming calls and maintain clear call logs
• Monitor EMR accounts and ensure all form requests are processed on time
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 1+ year in a medical records setting (or similar experience)
• Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Typing speed of 50 WPM minimum
• Skilled in using scanners, copiers, fax machines
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
• Familiarity with FMLA/disability processes highly preferred
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
