🔍 About the Role
Nira Medical is seeking a Lead Billing Specialist to oversee a variety of billing functions tied to physician and practice-based ancillary services. This full-time, fully remote position plays a key role in claims submission, revenue capture, and billing operations, supporting a high-quality patient care experience.
You’ll lead daily billing activities, resolve issues with third-party payers, and help maximize collections while ensuring compliance and accuracy across the board.
🧠 What You’ll Do
• Submit and manage billing of primary and secondary claims for physician and ancillary services
• Monitor progress toward cash collection and A/R reduction goals
• Ensure accurate claims creation and submission per payer guidelines and company policy
• Identify and resolve issues with incomplete or delayed claims
• Escalate patterns of noncompliance or billing inefficiencies
• Research payer policy updates and leverage tools to expedite payment processing
• Collaborate across departments to support the broader revenue cycle team
• Perform additional billing-related tasks as needed
🧰 What You’ll Bring
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 2+ years of experience in physician office billing; infusion drug billing strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of billing practices, revenue cycle workflows, and payer requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented mindset and analytical problem-solver
• Familiarity with physician-administered drugs, imaging services, and ancillary billing preferred
