If you’ve ever battled an insurance company on a denied claim—and won—you’re exactly who we need. As a Contract Medical Claims Resolution Specialist with pMD, you’ll play a vital role in helping physician practices recover revenue and resolve outstanding claims. This is hands-on work that requires grit, follow-through, and a true passion for making sure providers get paid what they’re owed. You’ll work remotely, on your own schedule, with the backing of a mission-driven team.

• Fully Remote, Contract Position
• $6.00 per verified claim
• Set your own schedule (within 8 AM – 6 PM EST call window)
• Minimum 20 hours/week
• Paid per resolved claim—not by the hour

📋 What You’ll Own
• Call insurance carriers to secure payment for past-due claims
• Research and resolve denied or unpaid claims
• Submit appeals with supporting documentation
• Update claim statuses and actions in software system
• Handle complex, multistate payer guidelines with accuracy
• Meet or exceed weekly productivity targets (175 encounters/week)
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all healthcare regulations
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Prior experience in medical billing, collections, or claims resolution
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, and medical terminology
• Proven communication skills with payers
• Highly organized and detail-obsessed
• Available to make calls during 8 AM–6 PM EST
• Must commit to at least 20 hours per week
• Must reside in the U.S. and meet independent contractor requirements (W9, sole proprietor or business registration)
• Access to Microsoft Word (active subscription), a reliable printer, and adequate supplies
