Modivcare is hiring a Billing Coordinator II to support our revenue cycle operations and ensure clean, timely billing across multiple platforms. If you thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and want to make an impact in the healthcare space—this is your role.
🔍 What You’ll Do
- Submit electronic, portal, and invoice-based claims with speed and accuracy
- Verify client eligibility and insurance prior to billing
- Investigate and resolve claim denials and rejections using payer portals or clearinghouses
- Interpret EOBs and understand CPT/ICD-10 coding and payer-specific requirements
- Track and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable (AR)
- Navigate between multiple systems to maintain billing accuracy
- Use phone and email to communicate with payers and clients
- Apply adjustments, corrections, or escalate when appropriate
- Support internal reporting, KPI tracking, and team collaboration
- Occasionally travel for business, if required
🧠 What You Bring
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: 1+ years in healthcare revenue cycle management or equivalent
- Technical: Proficiency with EDI, payer portals, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of billing platforms like HHAeXchange is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Organized multitasker with attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Experience handling claims across Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance
