🧾 About the Role
Symetra is hiring a Training and Sales Specialist to support the Benefits Division. In this remote role, you’ll design, lead, and continuously improve sales training programs—ensuring new hires get off to a strong start and experienced reps continue to sharpen their skills. You’ll work closely with sales leadership, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to create impactful learning experiences that drive business success.


Position Highlights
• Salary range: $77,600 – $129,400
• Full-time, remote position
• Eligible for annual bonus program
• Flexible work or hybrid schedule

📋 What You’ll Own
• Lead onboarding for new sales team members
• Develop and deliver effective sales training and refresher programs
• Design a long-term sales rep development program with mentorship and growth pathways
• Collaborate with leaders and teams to align training to business goals
• Measure and improve training content and delivery using feedback and performance data
• Support strategic projects under the AVP of Sales Strategy & Effectiveness


🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 5+ years of sales training experience (insurance industry preferred)
• High school diploma required; college degree or equivalent preferred
• Strong skills in training design, curriculum development, and facilitation
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Comfortable working across teams and managing multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
