As a Prior Authorization Specialist I, you’ll serve as a critical bridge between providers, patients, and payers to ensure timely, accurate handling of prior authorization requests. You’ll work within a supportive and mission-driven team, helping patients access life-changing medications through an efficient, compliant, and human-centered process.

• Schedule: Full-time; 8-hour shifts between 8am–7pm M–F
• Pay Range: $16.13 – $18.97/hr

📋 What You’ll Own
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals
• Contact prescribers to obtain essential prior authorization details
• Accurately document prescription and patient data including medication history, allergies, and payer info
• Manage assigned workflow queues and coordinate with other teams as needed
• Fax, call, or communicate through other means with providers and insurers to facilitate approval
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in every interaction
• Support other areas within the facility when needed
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or GED (some college preferred)
• Pharmacy technician license or trainee license strongly preferred if required in your state
• At least 2 years of experience in a pharmacy support or healthcare environment
• Exceptional phone communication skills, professionalism, and empathy
• Strong documentation, multitasking, and time management skills
• Ability to operate effectively within a scheduled shift between 8am–7pm (Monday–Friday)
• Comfort working in a remote environment while staying engaged and responsive
