📋 What You’ll Own
• Process and validate medical record requests accurately and efficiently
• Retrieve, scan, and transmit medical charts per HIPAA and internal guidelines
• Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
• Respond to mail, fax, and phone inquiries related to release of information
• Maintain organized workspaces and safeguard sensitive data
• Stay current with applicable state and federal regulations
• Support team workflows and assist with backlogs as needed
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years in a medical records or healthcare setting (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type at least 50 WPM
• Familiar with scanners, fax machines, and copiers
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality
• Team-oriented with customer service mindset
