MultiCare Health System is hiring a full-time Referral Coordinator to streamline the administrative side of patient referrals. This fully remote role supports care teams by coordinating referrals, interpreting medical and insurance guidelines, and improving operational efficiency for patients across Washington. You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, in a role that balances detail work with meaningful patient impact.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Manage the full lifecycle of patient referrals and related documentation
• Interpret medical benefits, guidelines, and insurance policies
• Act as a key resource for providers and patients navigating referral logistics
• Apply independent judgment in handling authorization and coordination tasks
• Communicate professionally with internal teams and external providers
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years in a medical office, clinic, or insurance company
• Familiarity with referral workflows and insurance plan rules
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
📜 Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in managed care
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding
💻 Remote Requirements
• Based in or authorized to work in the U.S.
• Secure internet connection and appropriate workspace
• Able to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA from home
