Heard & Smith, LLP is hiring a Remote Intake Specialist to be the voice of hope for clients seeking Social Security Disability (SSD) or Social Security Income (SSI) help. In this call center–based, client-facing role, you’ll guide potential clients through the intake process, screen for eligibility, and help change lives—one call at a time. ✅ Position Highlights
• $14.50–$16.50 per hour, depending on experience
• Full-time, Entry-level
• Remote (Texas residents only: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Austin preferred)
• 401(k) with employer profit-sharing (historically 5%)

📋 What You’ll Own
• Handle 150–200 inbound/outbound calls daily
• Screen clients for SSD/SSI eligibility
• Sign up 4+ new cases per day
• Build client trust and maintain ongoing communication
• Document client details in a paperless system
• Meet quality, adherence, and occupancy performance standards
• Maintain professionalism and empathy under pressure
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma (degree preferred)
• Call center or customer service experience
• 40+ WPM typing speed
• Excellent phone etiquette, grammar, and listening skills
• Strong multitasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
• Fluent Spanish is a plus
• Sales experience is a plus
💻 Remote Requirements
• Must reside in Texas
• Windows-based computer (no Macs, Chromebooks, or tablets)
• Stable internet (20MB+), wired Ethernet required
• Landline or strong cell reception
• Built-in or external webcam
• Quiet, private home office without distractions
