Join the West Virginia University Health System as a remote Epic Systems & Contracts Analyst. In this full-time role, you’ll manage complex EPIC HB contract builds, perform technical data analysis, and optimize payer reimbursements. You’ll work across teams and systems to streamline financial workflows, monitor contract performance, and ensure accuracy in compliance and reporting.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Build and maintain Epic HB contracts and pricing models
• Conduct technical analysis to ensure accuracy of Epic rules, components, and extensions
• Identify reimbursement opportunities and monitor contract performance
• Develop advanced Excel models and maintain Access databases
• Create and maintain reports across platforms like Reporting Workbench, StrataJazz, WEBI, and SQL
• Communicate with payer reps, Patient Financial Services, and leadership
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and contract terms
• Recommend system enhancements and provide solutions to improve operational workflows
• Collaborate with IT, PFS, and hospital departments to support project success
• Train users and participate in Epic system upgrades and environment migrations
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field + 2 years’ experience
OR High school diploma + 6 years’ relevant healthcare data/systems experience
• EPIC Contracting Certification (must be obtained within 1 year of hire)
• Strong technical skills in Excel, Access, and SQL
• Working knowledge of revenue cycle functions and reimbursement methodologies (DRG, CPT, OPPS, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Epic HB workflows and payor contracts
• Comfortable working independently and across multi-disciplinary teams
• Clear, effective communication and ability to manage confidential information
