Equitable is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Disability and Leave Management Claims Specialist to join their growing remote team. In this full-time role, you’ll provide critical support to customers managing life disruptions, reviewing medical claims, assessing policy coverage, and ensuring claimants receive timely, accurate decisions.

• $50,000 – $60,000 base salary

📋 What You’ll Own
• Handle incoming disability and leave claims from start to finish
• Communicate with employees, employers, and legal reps across channels
• Analyze and interpret medical records, policies, and leave laws
• Perform financial calculations and eligibility determinations
• Document detailed claim rationale using clear, objective reasoning
• Manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure timely resolutions
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 1+ years of disability claims experience (Group Disability preferred)
• Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, and disability regulations
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Tech savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and claim systems
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
