Natera is hiring a Clinical Assistant I / Revenue Claims Specialist for a 6-month remote contract role with potential to convert to permanent. This hybrid position blends operational support with claims and reimbursement coordination. You’ll collaborate across teams, manage billing-related tasks, and help genetic counselors improve processes tied to lab services, appeals, and patient care.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Act as a liaison between genetic counselors and internal teams (claims, labs, appeals, authorizations)
• Assist with reimbursement operations and billing data collection
• Track claims resolutions and appeal outcomes
• Monitor and respond to coding and policy changes
• Review incoming referrals and claim denials, requesting documentation when needed
• Help coordinate patient sample kits and respond to related inquiries
• Update internal databases and enter notes in the lab information system (LIMS)
• Support clinics and internal teams with follow-up questions
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI privacy policies, and internal training requirements
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma required; BA/BS in biology, healthcare, or life sciences preferred
• 2–3 years of experience in biotech, life sciences, medical billing, or insurance collections
• Strong organizational and data management skills
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Gmail, and internal systems
• Experience handling confidential health information (PHI)
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
