Join Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, in a full-time Care Coordinator position that allows you to work from anywhere in the United States. You’ll provide telephonic, chat, and video customer service to TRICARE beneficiaries—helping connect them to medical services, answering eligibility questions, and ensuring they receive the right care at the right time. This role combines healthcare support with the flexibility of a remote schedule.
✅ Position Highlights
• Pay: $16.00 – $27.69 per hour (based on experience, location, and qualifications)
• Employment Type: Full-time, Regular, Non-exempt
• Schedule: 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, Sunday–Saturday, between 12:00am – 12:00pm (occasional overtime/weekends as needed)
• Training: 3 weeks paid virtual training, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm CST

📋 What You’ll Own
• Provide remote customer service via phone, chat, and video
• Schedule medical services in line with RN triage guidance and TRICARE requirements
• Handle TRICARE eligibility inquiries with cultural sensitivity toward military communities
• Identify and escalate urgent medical needs following protocol
• Document all interactions accurately and maintain performance metrics
• Collaborate with military treatment facilities and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• U.S. Citizenship (security clearance requirement)
• 2+ years customer service experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance (SF86)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, online databases, multiple applications)
• Skilled in active listening, problem-solving, and one-call resolution
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends/holidays if needed
