Symetra is hiring a Benefits Specialist to support in-force business across Life, Disability, Absence Management, and Supplemental Health product lines. In this client-facing role, you’ll manage relationships with assigned accounts, resolve service issues, drive retention and growth, and deliver a seamless experience for customers and brokers alike.

• Hourly pay: $28.93 – $48.24

📋 What You’ll Own
• Serve as the primary service contact for accounts (100–499 lives)
• Handle licensing updates, billing resolutions, enrollment support, and policy amendments
• Support new business implementations and collaborate with internal teams
• Educate clients on products, services, and portal usage
• Manage renewals, data collection, and underwriting coordination
• Join client meetings, benefit fairs, and occasional travel (up to 5%)
• Collaborate with sales partners to identify growth opportunities and enhance service strategy
• Lead touchpoints with clients and track service metrics to showcase value
• Support compliance with state-mandated coverage implementations (TDB, DBL, PFL, etc.)
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma required; relevant experience preferred
• Sales aptitude with strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Organizational mastery and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and anticipate client needs
• Math skills and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
