What You’ll Do
- Collect and review patient insurance benefit information per program SOPs
- Assist physician offices and patients with completing and submitting insurance forms
- Manage prior authorization requests: submit, track, and follow up for timely approvals
- Provide customer service to providers, payers, and pharmacy staff, resolving inquiries quickly
- Document all interactions accurately in the CareMetx Connect system
- Report reimbursement delays or trends to supervisors for proactive solutions
- Ensure accurate communication with payors to support benefit investigations
- Escalate adverse events and issues per training and SOPs
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 1+ year experience in specialty pharmacy, medical insurance, physician’s office, or related healthcare setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy and medical benefits; understanding of commercial and government payers preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Time management and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
