Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Normal hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST
- May require occasional overtime
- Paid training provided (aligned with schedule; 2 days may start at 8:00 AM)
- Remote within Pacific or Mountain Time Zones
What You’ll Do
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims to obtain accurate payment
- Investigate denials, correct rejections, and prepare appeals
- Process corrected and rebilled claims as necessary
- Review EOBs, COBs, remits, and CMS 1500 forms for accuracy
- Maintain documentation in A/R software and payer portals
- Monitor aging accounts and resolve over-90-day claims
- Identify payer trends and clinic behaviors contributing to denials
- Meet production and quality standards set by management
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of insurance follow-up experience
- 2+ years working knowledge of EOB, COB, remits, and CMS 1500
- Experience with appeals writing and processing
- Knowledge of CPT/diagnosis coding, medical terminology, and anatomy
- Familiarity with medical insurance plans and requirements
- Ability to work Monday–Friday during scheduled hours
Preferred
- Multi-specialty clinic experience
- Epic system experience
- Medicare and Medicare Advantage knowledge
- CPC Certification
