🔍 Role Overview

We’re hiring a Licensing Appointment Onboarding Specialist to oversee the full lifecycle of onboarding producers and agencies. In this role, you’ll ensure producers are properly licensed, appointed, and fully compliant with state regulations and internal policies. This includes managing onboarding workflows, processing records, analyzing renewal data, and supporting internal audits. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across legal, sales, compliance, and state insurance departments.


🧠 What You’ll Do

  • Manage onboarding for new producers/agencies: contract review, license verification, and appointment processing
  • Process producer record updates and appointment terminations in compliance with DOI rules
  • Oversee annual state appointment renewal process and track all payment timelines
  • Maintain and analyze producer records across multiple systems and data sources
  • Serve as a key liaison to producers, internal sales teams, and external partners
  • Train new team members and maintain internal documentation and procedures
  • Provide reports for year-end financials, compliance audits, and ongoing records tracking
  • Participate in producer records and compliance-related projects as needed

✅ What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience in insurance, compliance, or related field
  • 1+ year of experience in regulatory compliance or insurance licensing/appointment
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to interpret insurance regulations and apply compliance standards
  • Strong data analysis, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional discretion in handling confidential or sensitive producer data

⭐ Preferred (but not required)

  • 3+ years of compliance or insurance appointment experience
  • Experience using SharePoint, Salesforce, LifePRO, Compass, or Vertafore
  • Prior work in legal, HR, or insurance operations
  • Industry certification(s)

💰 Salary & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $44,000–$79,000 (based on experience and location)
  • Bonus: Eligible for annual performance-based incentives
