🔍 About the Role
Nira Medical is building the future of neurology care through a national, physician-led partnership focused on access, innovation, and patient-first outcomes. We’re seeking a Patient Access Manager to lead and optimize front-end revenue cycle operations—specifically patient onboarding, insurance verification, prior authorization, and access to financial assistance programs.
This fully remote leadership role will directly support the timely initiation of patient care by guiding a growing team, streamlining processes, and collaborating across clinics, vendors, and our centralized RCM infrastructure.
💡 What You’ll Do
- Lead Front-End Operations: Oversee benefit verification, insurance eligibility checks, and prior authorization workflows for a wide range of neurological and infusion services
- Manage Patient Assistance Access: Drive financial access efforts by managing eligibility, enrollment, and tracking across manufacturer and foundation-based assistance programs
- Team Management: Supervise internal and external team performance, ensuring high-quality service, speed, and accountability
- Enhance the Patient Experience: Eliminate barriers to care by supporting fast onboarding, responsive support, and clean handoffs between intake and clinic operations
- Change Management: Train new hires, communicate process updates, and lead continuous improvement efforts across patient access channels
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with RCM leadership, practice administrators, and billing staff to implement system-wide improvements
✅ What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of leadership experience in patient access, intake, or revenue cycle (infusion or physician-administered drug experience strongly preferred)
- Deep understanding of benefit design, prior authorizations, and RCM workflows in outpatient or specialty care
- Demonstrated success leading benefit verification, patient assistance, or pre-cert teams
- Hands-on experience navigating health plan requirements and coverage policies
- Ability to identify bottlenecks in patient access and build scalable systems to improve them
- Strong people manager who can coach, develop, and hold teams accountable
- Familiarity with EHR/RCM platforms like Athena or Centricity is a plus
- Bonus points for experience in operational leadership, EDI enrollments, or payer contract interpretation
