💼 About the Role
Nira Medical is seeking a Collections and Payments Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. You’ll be on the front lines of collecting payments on past-due health insurance claims, engaging directly with payors and patients to resolve balances and support revenue goals. If you thrive in fast-paced healthcare environments and have a knack for organization, communication, and follow-through, this role is for you.
✅ Core Responsibilities
• Perform collection activities per established guidelines with third-party payors and patients
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual cash collection goals
• Manage claim disputes, appeals, and payment reconciliation
• Identify patterns of noncompliance or delayed payments and escalate appropriately
• Negotiate payment plans, partial settlements, and extensions when necessary
• Support QA activities to ensure compliance and billing accuracy
• Contribute to continuous process improvements in collections operations
📌 What You’ll Need
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in a physician’s office or with infusion drugs is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and problem-solve in a remote work setting
• Comfortable using multiple software systems and EHR platforms
• A growth mindset and team-first attitude
