Job summary:
As the Purchasing Analyst, reporting to the Director Of Indirect Spend, you will be responsible for delivering significant best value suppliers, contracts and executing category / regional strategies pertaining to the MTD Products.
Supporting strategic planning, value delivery, continuous improvement, internal stakeholder management and facilitation of supplier management activities on a global basis and interacting with multiple SBUs, geographies and work cultures. The position will work closely with key stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.
Leading category sourcing activities with the goal of achieving significant cost reductions while maintaining/improving productivity, quality, working capital, supplier service levels and reducing risk.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with the stakeholders to develop and implement category sourcing strategies to deliver value against productivity, service, quality and innovation
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation (enterprise-wide) and contracting process to minimize financial and business risk exposure and provide optimal terms and conditions
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop, implement and monitor category strategies
- Creates and updates purchase orders, supplier scorecards, supplier profile folders and other documentation as required to ensure data integrity.
- Track performance within spend category, maintain and report department KPI’s to manager
- Ensure effective contract execution, monitor contract compliance, and strategy implementation
- Understand and negotiate business specific legal terms and conditions and explain in an easy to understand manner.
- Drive value through supplier segmentation, analysis and relationship management (SRM)
- Responsible for managing supplier relationship and setting expectations with our partners
- Keeps informed of market and industry trends/developments – technical, risk, commercial, or otherwise
- Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant area required.
- Must have a balance of strategic and operational capacities, including global sourcing, supplier management, and commodity risk management
- Conducts supplier assessments to meet the current and future needs of company.
- Experience in strategic planning, budgeting and financial reporting
- Experience in advanced sourcing techniques and tools
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors (required)
