This position supports the University’s students and faculty with their course material needs. This is a full-time, temporary need.
This position is within Course Materials department and reports directly to the Senior Manager of Course Materials.
Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with department chairs, faculty, and other Academic support staff to further the electronic delivery of course materials to students and faculty, to include web-based multimedia products
- Assists students with course material and library inquiries via email and phone queue
- Provides Academic staff with course and library materials as requested
- Assists with evaluating course materials to ensure copyright compliance
- Utilizes reports and spreadsheets to maintain accuracy and provide information
- Works daily in multiple databases and online interfaces to perform tasks
- Supports the Course Materials management as assigned
- Provides Tier 1 technical support for student resources
- Maintain/update eReserve platform as needed
- Order required materials for grant students through various non bookstore vendors
- Flexibility to take on a different role/additional tasks to cover staff out of the office

- Proactive, yet diplomatic capacity to support the University’s programs
- Self-starting and requiring minimum supervision
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel skills. Experience with MS SharePoint desirable
- Preference is given to candidates who have worked in online information services
- Familiarity with office automation packages and knowledge of Web software is desirable
- Working knowledge of copyright law and/or ADA 508 compliance desirable
- Experience working with web-based multi-media desirable
- High School Diploma required
- Some college or work experience equivalent desired
